Ruhi Handloom is run by Nitin Goud, a young weaver and entrepreneur from Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh. Although his first dream was to join the Indian Airforce, life took him on a different path. His enterprising nature led him to The Handloom School, where he learned to weave. He runs a small unit of weavers who weave beautiful fabrics, specializing in beautiful Maheshwari cotton-silk sarees.

Nitin is a change-maker in his community. He is always looking for ways to improve the lives of fellow artisans and the local community through finding business opportunities for them, running fundraisers and donation drive. During the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, Nitin organized fundraisers and distributed ration kits to the local community.
